
Manufacturing Equipment Technician
Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build. We are looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to work in our manufacturing facility helping to bring up new equipment and custom builds. Responsibilities: Requirements: Bonus Qualifications: The US hourly range for this full-time position is between $35 - $50/hr. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended. - Commission and bring up new manufacturing equipment, tools, and test devices - Build and wire custom designed electromechanical testers, including power supplies, load setups, and IO validation rigs - Set up and maintain production workbenches, including fixture mounting - Assist with layout and routing of compressed air, power, and data to new production areas - Support day-to-day plant engineering efforts, including line reconfiguration and test station bring-up - Document assembly and maintenance procedures for infrastructure builds - Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to ensure build readiness - Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and ability to work across mechanical and electrical systems - Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and shop safety protocols - Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or plant engineering environment - Experience soldering - Experience with panel wiring - Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics - CAD Experience (CATIA 3DX Preferred) - Experience building and debugging robots a plus - Experience with commissioning industrial automation equipment such as programming industrial robots, PLCs etc. - IPC-620 certified
