We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer with experience in CPU IP, SoC design and ML/AI HW accelerators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ISO26262 compliance, safety analysis methodologies, and semiconductor functional safety. *This role is hybrid or remote based out of, Austin, Toronto or Boston or remote. If a U.S. export license is required, employment will not begin until a license with acceptable conditions is granted by the U.S. government.  If a U.S. export license with acceptable conditions is not granted by the U.S. government, then the offer of employment will be rescinded. - Execution of safety-related activities such as assumption of use, safety requirements development, and safety validation and verification. - Conduct safety analysis for CPU IP, SoC devices and ML/AI HW accelerators used in automotive applications. - Create customer facing documentation such as safety manuals, demos, and marketing material - Execute processes, template, checklist and guideline to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 - Work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in product designs. - Provide functional safety expertise to internal teams and external customers as required. - Experience driving the ISO26262 product full certification, preferably for ADAS or autonomous driving applications. - At least 5 years of functional safety experience related to CPU IP, SoC design and ML/AI HW accelerators for automotive applications. - Experience with safety analysis methodologies such as FMEDA, FTA, DFA - Excellent communication, technical writing and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. - Strong project management skills.
