Full-stack engineers at Knock work on product features end-to-end, from our customer facing APIs, through to our Next.js powered workflow builder. We’re an engineer led team, with a strong belief in shipping high-quality product at a fast pace. We are a team that believes in everyone having direct contact with the customer and bringing that voice to the decisions we make every dayWhat we’re looking for in this roleYou have 3+ years of experience building full-stack web applications, with strong fundamentals with JavaScript or (ideally) Typescript and a background in writing ReactYou care deeply about building elegant systems that are delightful to interact with on every level, from API design, to documentation, and the user interfacesYou're interested in building sharp tools that solve problems that you and countless other engineers and product teams face on a day-to-day basisYou like the idea of joining an early-stage team where you can play a meaningful part in shaping the direction of the company, product, and cultureYou might have some prior experience writing Elixir, but this a nice-to-have and we’re more than happy to support you in learning the languageOur stackOur backend services are primarily written in Elixir (which runs on the Erlang VM), with some Rust as well. We build our front-end using Next.js in Typescript, powered by GraphQL. Our code runs in AWS on EKS using a mixture of Postgres, Redis, and MongoDB for data storage. All our infrastructure is written in Terraform and continuously deployed via Terraform Cloud.Compensation Range: $130K - $200K

Most of them are developers. You will be responsible for meeting them where they are, building a relationship, and helping them get the most out of Knock.On a typical day, you will spend a lot of time connecting with users to understand their needs. This could start with a demo, or a pairing session to show a customer how to integrate Knock and get the most out of the product. By digging into their workflows, pain points, and goals, you will build a picture of how to make them successful with Knock.For existing customers, you will help ensure they stay successful by serving as a primary contact for technical questions and use case development. This could look like rotating on support, closing the loop on a feature request, or facilitating group training sessions.Beyond point-to-point work, you will develop technical content to help users get and stay successful with Knock, including demo projects, documentation, and videos.To start, you will report to the CEO, and work closely with him as we build out our customer success and sales functions.As our team grows, this role will grow into one that is cross-functional. You will work with sales to qualify and pursue new opportunities, and with our customer success team to support users throughout their lifecycle. But you will also have close ties with product and engineering, and play a key role in gathering and translating user feedback, weighing in on roadmap, and helping deliver new features.You will be doing all of this within an early-stage startup. Our team is seasoned and professional, but there are lots of open questions and ambiguity. 🚀 Sales Development Representative

Knock is looking for our founding Sales Development Representative (SDR). You’ll be leading Knock's outbound efforts educating prospects on the value of Knock, with a focus on generating top of the funnel leads. This includes outreach via cold calls, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, events and other methods.You will live to monitor prospect intent signals, engaging them directly in order to schedule meetings for our account executives.Strategically build the Sales Development function through process building, tech/AI testing, and crafting repeatable playbooks.Coordinating meetings between prospective clients and Account Executives with little friction.You will be tasked with a goal and expected to execute against it on a monthly basis.Reporting results and learnings to leadership on a regular cadence.About KnockKnock helps product and engineering teams send delightful notifications to their customers. You have a history of hitting your number and finding success through pipeline generation, opportunity management, and closing customers.You are technical. You’ve sold a technical product in the past, understand how data flows through applications, and can speak to the role of APIs and SDKs in developer tools.You are diligent and thorough. You understand the importance of preparation in closing deals. You map out the risks to getting a deal done within a given organization and chase each of them down one by one until you’ve signed the customer.You are organized. You’ve found the system that works for you for getting things done and making sure no prospect falls through the cracks.You are thoughtful and focused on customer value. You listen to customers, understand their needs, and only sell them what they need. You index on maximizing customer value, and know that when you do the revenue follows.
