In this role, you will be in charge of demoing Runway, our tools, models, and research to filmmakers, creatives, production teams, and studios from all over the world. You will have the chance to collaborate on special projects, develop internal content, and help our growing base of professional creatives get the most out of Runway. Rather than specialists, we’re seeking curiosity-driven engineers who are determined problem solvers and thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments. Our engineering team is highly collaborative and works on a wide variety of exciting challenges, including building backend services for interactive video processing and streaming, and deploying cutting-edge computer vision and generative models to production. Our API endpoints for real-time collaboration and media asset management is written inTypescript, and runs in ECS containers on AWS Fargate. We leverage multiple AWS-native components, such as S3, CloudFront, Lambda, Kinesis, and SQS, as building blocks of our infrastructure. Our inference backend is written inPython (PyTorch, TorchScript),and is deployed across multiple clusters / cloud providers. We useKubernetesfor container orchestration, and k8s-native components such as Flyte, Kueue, and Kyverno efficient job orchestration.
