Figure’s vision is to deploy autonomous humanoids at a global scale.  Our AI team is looking for Robot Behavior Coordination Engineers to empower Figure humanoid robots to robustly perform complex sequences of tasks to contribute real work in physical workplaces. Responsibilities: Requirements: Bonus Qualifications: - Implement a robot behavior architecture that provides various behavior authoring tools, such as state machines and behavior trees - Using this architecture, design, implement, test, and deploy robot behavior coordination algorithms for humanoid robots for a large variety of mission scenarios. Iteratively improve the reliability and robustness of the algorithms - Develop and use modern software engineering techniques to implement high quality, well-tested software - Evaluate potential behavior coordination solutions and make design trade offs and decisions based on robot requirements - Collaborate with other Figure team members to develop and implement a full autonomy stack - Engineer and ship high quality, reliable software that will be deployed to the real world - Work with the Figure Integration and Test team to evaluate and continuously improve your behavior coordination software - Experience implementing, testing, and deploying behavior coordination solutions in C++ and/or Python on real robots - Capable of quickly writing massive amounts of high quality, well-tested, behavior coordination software - Possess both a theoretical understanding and have practical experience with behavior coordination algorithms - Have a deep knowledge of state of the art techniques, data structures, and software tools - Thrive in a high pace environment, where solutions are often unclear and require exploration - Experience in behavior coordination - Passionate about building humanoid robots - Experience with deploying real world robot behavior coordination solutions for autonomous commercial applications - Publication record of developing and deploying robot behavior coordination solutions

Our AI team is looking for Localization and Mapping Software Engineers to empower Figure humanoid robots to perform highly dynamic operations in demanding real-world environments. Responsibilities: Requirements: Bonus Qualifications: - Develop novel computer vision formulations, models, and algorithms for a wide variety of tasks - Own the full development life cycle from data preparation to model deployment - Perform training of multi-task deep neural networks - Design and build data and evaluation pipelines - Engineer and ship high quality, reliable software that will be deployed to the real world - Collaborate with other Figure team members to develop and continuously improve the full autonomy stack - Extensive experience in production-level software & ML engineering and best practices - “White-box” understanding of deep learning: model details, loss formulations, and training algorithms - Strong mathematical fundamentals in probability, optimization, and linear algebra - Domain expertise in at least one of the following areas: 3D reconstruction, depth estimation, neural rendering, object detection, tracking & state estimation, instance and semantic segmentation - Comfortable with fundamental geometric concepts in computer vision, such as perspective transformation, pinhole camera model, and epipolar geometry - Extensive experience with one of the major deep learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch - Capable of quickly writing massive amounts of high quality, well-tested, perception software - Thrive in a high pace environment, where solutions are often unclear and require exploration - Passionate about building humanoid robots - Experience with CUDA and GPU programming - Experience with scalable data engineering toolchains such as Spark,Ray, SQL - Experience in neural network deployment toolchain and techniques, such as TensorRT and model quantization - Publication record of developing and deploying perception solutions

We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. As a Humanoid Robot Pilot, you'll have the unique opportunity to work directly with our learning humanoid robots and teach them new behaviors and skills. You will be at the forefront of our operations, collecting new data to train our AI systems and working with the AI team to refine behaviors over time. Shift: 4:00pm-12:00am Responsibilities: Requirements: Bonus Qualifications: - Wear teleoperation equipment and guide the robot through designated behaviors - Upload collected data to our AI training system - Proactively identify issues during collection and report feedback daily to Figure's AI team - Maintain a safe environment for both yourself and the robot during teleoperation - Follow proper equipment and robot maintenance procedures, including bring-up and shutdown - Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and focus - Can stand 8+ hours a day - Master new physical tasks quickly and find the optimal way to perform them - Embrace constructive feedback and strive for constant improvement - Thrive in a fast paced environment - Experience working with robots or troubleshooting mechanical systems - A passion for helping scale the deployment of learning humanoid robots

Our AI team is looking for an experienced AI Tooling Engineer to take our AI annotation and dataset tooling to the next level. This role is focused on building full-stack web applications that help collect, annotate and organize neural network training data for the humanoid robot. The ideal candidate has experience building such tools for a large-scale deep learning system. Responsibilities: Requirements: Bonus Qualifications: - Design and implement interactive software tools used to collect, manage and annotate data - Collaborate with our AI and robotics engineers to identify software requirements and take the lead on implementing them - Design intuitive and easy-to-use interfaces to accelerate the humanoid learning process - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field - Minimum of 4 years of professional, full-time experience building full-stack / frontend web applications - Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and React - Experience with Linux and command line tools - Experience with Python and data manipulation libraries such as numpy, pandas, etc. - Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience building data annotation and dataset management tools - Experience using and managing data stores (Postgres, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, etc.)
