Technical Recruiter

ABOUT RETOOL Nearly every company in the world runs on custom software: Gartner estimates that up to 50% of all code is written for internal use. This is the operational software for refunding orders, underwriting loans, onboarding employees, analyzing transactions, and providing customer support. But most companies don’t have adequate resources to properly invest in these tools, leading to a lot of old and clunky internal software or, even worse, users still stuck in manual and spreadsheet flows. At Retool, we’re on a mission to bring good software to everyone. We’re building a new type of development platform that combines the benefits of traditional software development with a drag-and-drop UI editor and AI, making it dramatically faster to build internal tools. We believe that the future of software development lies in abstracting away the tedious and repetitive tasks developers waste time on, while creating reusable components that act as a force multiplier for future developers and projects. The result is not just productivity, but good software by default. And that’s a mission worth striving for. Today, our customers span from small startups building their first operational tools to Fortune 500 companies building mission-critical apps for thousands of users across their business. Interested in joining us? Let us know! WHY WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU It’s a busy year: we're helping our customers build nearly-countless tools to do their business better, crossed major revenue milestones, and have welcomed many new Retools to the business. And we've had a blast doing it. We have even more exciting revenue, product, and headcount goals ahead. One of our main goals is to continue growing our engineering, product, and design teams. Without a seasoned and exceptional EPD team, we risk Retool’s success. You’ll work closely with Retool’s TA team, head of engineering, cross-functional stakeholders, and engineers to understand the hiring bar. It’s an incredible opportunity to build process from the ground up while also having an enormous impact on our culture. We’ll look to you to deliver best practices, source excellent and relevant talent, and grow our engineering teams to ensure we hit our product roadmap goals. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to hire the people who build the product many engineers live in daily; in fact, a lot of Retool employees were former users! As the company grows, so will our needs. We’ll leverage your skills (and hopefully your network, too!) to grow our recruiting team. WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH The talent team at Retool is small but extremely impactful. Recruiting has historically been a team sport, and we're proud of the recruiting-forward organization we've built. You’ll partner with the team to set goals, ensure a stellar candidate experience, and achieve our aggressive hiring targets. We’re a diverse bunch with a variety of backgrounds: some of us come from industries unrelated to tech and others have grown up on a steady diet of Bay-area companies. We’re a dedicated and hard-working group that likes to have fun and we’re looking to add folks to help us expand our culture. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! And, it might be helpful to note: we’ve returned to the office 3 days a week in the Mission district of San Francisco! YOUR SKILL SET: IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL: For candidates based in San Francisco, the pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings (OTE) for commissionable roles.
